If you would have asked me 5 years ago where I shop for clothes, I would have said Anthropologies, Free people, Nordstroms. Ask me now, and it is Costco, Stateline Tack and my new favorite – Eddie Bauer for their polar fleece lined pants. It is not as much about style as it is about fuzzy – soft – warm.
Why the change I wonder? It may be the lack of central heating and the time spent outside that draws me to the fuzzy – soft. Or the northwest cozy feel that is encouraged by it being dark more than it is light. It could be the time spent in the barn listening to my horse’s chew. If you haven’t listened to horse’s chew lately, I have to tell you, it is one of the most soothing sounds in the world.
The other thing that requires warm – fuzzy – soft is when I head into the studio and clock the temperature at 39 degrees. It usually warms up to 50 something by the time I am done, and I sure am grateful for the heated mat I stand on. Not to mention my fingerless gloves, hat, paint covered Patagonia winter coat and most of all, fuzzy – polar fleece lined Eddie Bauer pants.
PS: Speaking about studio’s; check out some of my new paintings. Some new work!!
